DIstributed Computing Environments (DICE) Team
The Common Information Space (CIS) – is a service-oriented software framework facilitating development, deployment and reliable operation of complex systems, which rely on scientific computations.
The Atmosphere component – is responsible for maintaining an interface between the end-user tools developed in the and the underlying hardware resources required to perform complex computations in a distributed Cloud environment.
Collage (2011) – the Collage Authoring Environment is a framework for collaborative preparation and publication of so-called executable papers.
VPH-SHare (2011-2015) – it develops the organisational fabric and integrates optimized services to (1) expose and share data and knowledge, (2) jointly develop multiscale models for the composition of new VPH workflows, (3) facilitate collaboration within the VPH community.
PLGrid Plus (2011-2014) – preparation of specific computing environments – so called domain grids – i.e., solutions, services and extended infrastructure (including software), tailored to the needs of different groups of scientists, is the most important task implemented within this 3-year project.
MAPPER (2010-2013) – it responds to the critical need by developing computational strategies, software and services for distributed multiscale simulations across disciplines, exploiting existing and evolving European e-Infrastructure.
UrbanFlood (2010-2012) – its mission is investigating the use of sensors within flood embankments to support an online early warning system, real time emergency management and routine asset management.
