DICE Team announces a new blog
|
Not quite! During our work, whether we research or develop something, we often cannot resist to share some thoughts and ideas, which do not fit into any of these standard forms. Sometimes, there are findings, although interesting, that just cannot be published in a scientific paper since that would require more strict evaluation. On the other hand, the papers, presentations and reports we publish often do not have enough space to describe all the tricky techniques that were needed to achieve actual results. There is also a category that we call “crazy ideas”: these can be characterized as “ambitious, but not equally likely to be successful”. So, why not publish them somewhere? That sort of things: ideas, opinions, technical discussions best fit into a blog. |
Although the topics can be very broad, we will make sure they are related to the “core” interests of DICE Team: distributed computing, e-science, grid, web and cloud technologies, together with methods and tools for complex applications on these platforms. There are many examples of technoblogs, there are probably less “science blogs”. The goal of our blog is to cross the borders of these categories. As usual, we welcome any comments: whether you agree or not, please just say what you think. We would like to hear it, really. And even discuss! Welcome! |
